Around here, stories at bedtime are a given...unless we have a movie night. Then we usually skip stories and go straight to bed since it's usually pretty late. During the Christmas Break, we had A LOT of movie nights! On one particular night after a late movie and after all the other kids were in bed, Amy came to our room with a book, slapped it down on my side of the bed and said, "You read me a story?" I told her no, that it was too late for stories and her response was, "How bout two stories!"
Quite the negotiator that girl is.
Any guesses on which parent gave in?
But if he wouldn't have given in, I probably would have. We may have a problem on our hands when she's negotiating for much bigger things in the future!
