Preschool Graduation - May 2013

This super adorable girl graduated from preschool last week.

She attended a private preschool here for the past school year.  It's the same one Wyatt went to and we've been very happy with it.  She went three days a week and loved it.  The biggest reason for sending her this year was to help her come out of her shell a little.  It worked!  At the beginning of the year she didn't talk to anyone at preschool.  By Christmas she had warmed up to the teachers and a couple of the students.  By the end of the year she was a regular little social butterfly. One of her teachers even said that during the last week of school she actually had to ask Amy to STOP talking during group time!

I actually think preschool graduations are a little ridiculous, as does Greg (which is why he missed the first half of it since he was on his way back from a dairy show in Utah), but I have to admit that I teared up a little at this one.  I'm sure it's mostly because my pregnant hormones are CRAZY, but it may have had something to do with the fact that this little girl blew me away!

She actually introduced herself and her parents (I was just certain she would opt out of this).

She sang EVERY SINGLE song!

with actions...

...and loud enough that we could even hear her over the others at times.
Completely out of character for this one, but so much fun to witness!

And she was very proud to be the special one for the evening.

Love her!!!

Amy's Christmas Program

She sang every song!  She definitely wasn't the loudest, but she was singing.  Her teachers were shocked!  This girl has definitely come along way.

And I think she's adorable!

Amy's First Day of Preschool - September 2012

Amy is going to preschool three days a week, mostly for social reasons.  The girl is a little chatterbox at home, but shuts down in public.  He teachers tell me she is SLOWLY starting to talk to them...slowly.  She definitely make people earn her trust before she will befriend them.

You would never know this smiley little girl will clamp that mouth shut the second she's in public and can stare down anyone.  She's not the type to shyly bury her head.  Nope!  She will look people right in the eye and refuse to crack even the slightest smile.  The girl is a wonder!

She is also a very adorable little preschooler and even though she hasn't warmed up to them yet, she talks about her teachers and new friends non-stop at home.

First Day of School - September 7, 2011

This is the first year I can honestly say I was SO VERY SAD to see the summer end.

Luckily, these guys were a little more excited than I was for the first day of school...well, Wye anyway.  Lou was very nervous and complained of a stomachache all morning.  She's never done that on the first day before.  It was a relief to see her jump off the bus this afternoon happy and excited about how her first day went.  Wye was a little annoyed that his first day wasn't a "real" first day...just kindergarten orientation.  Hopefully he will be just as excited after his official first day tomorrow.

Aimers is going NO WHERE!  But she inherited a big backpack and insisted on being as special as the older two.
