September 2011
Lydia: The oldest! Helpful, funny, sometimes absent-minded, but mostly pretty responsible. She is also very smart and a quick learner. She's even claimed (in writing) to be a "stupendous speller" and that she has "an enormous math brain". It's true.
She loves reading, writing her own stories, babysitting, baked potatoes, and being outside.
Wyatt: Child number two and son number one! He is very cautious and "particular" (as his preschool teacher accurately described him) about things. He's the rule follower and likes things to be just right. He's also a boy and does all those "boy" things that sometimes drive moms crazy.
He likes numbers (this is an understatement), animals (mostly the bear, moose, elk type), hunting (even though he's never been), and Brother Barclay (who hunts and has shot a bear...that should explain it all).
Amy: There's not enough space to explain this one. I'll just sum it up with...THIRD CHILD! She can go from happy, crazy, and energetic to moody, pouty, and ornery all in 2.5 seconds. She's a joy...really!
She likes water, being outside (which is sometimes a problem since we have a large and deep pond in our front yard). She also likes to dress-up...mostly with shoes, and pester her younger...and older brother (and boy is she good at it!!!).
Dallin: My baby! Our adorable, pleasant, busy, ball of chubs! He's well past the age where he should be crawling and standing...maybe even walking, but he prefers and has mastered the "bum scoot" and is just as mobile and mischievous as any crawler. He loves an audience, throwing things (especially away...sometimes a problem), and food.
The Parents (Greg and Gwen): We're the ones responsible for all the cuteness above! We met in college, have been married for almost a decade, and still like each other ;) We enjoy being parents and raising our kids on our family dairy farm. We try to be involved in our church, community, schools, and other organizations, but our biggest priority is our family.
Me: I won't claim to be perfect at anything really, but I do claim interest in exercising (but not dieting...kind of a problem ;), cleaning, yard work, crafting, starting (and completing...big thing for me) a new home improvement project about every month (drives my husband crazy), and being a good wife and mom. I'm learning every day how to be better at all of these things but it's definitely a process....
