On Christmas morning, the kids woke up and were excited to see that Santa had indeed delivered their gifts! With 9 a.m. church, we let them open their gift from Santa, their stockings, and their new dress clothes, but decided to wait until after church to open the rest. It was nice to have Greg home to help get the kids ready for church! We even had time to take a few pictures in their new clothes:
I think Dallin was upset that we had pulled him away from his new toy truck from Santa...or he just really hates it when I make him pose for the camera.
My beautiful girls! And they are almost matching. I'm so sad that Lydia has outgrown the sizes that I could still find matching dresses in. It was fun while it lasted though.
The girls of the family!
and the handsome boys!
Wyatt got a camouflage digital watch in his stocking and after finding out what time we needed to leave, checked it non-stop and told us how many minutes we had left at each minute change. I thought it was funny that he's checking his watch in all of these pictures. He was very annoyed that I was making everyone pose for a picture because we were "gonna be late!"
I have to say, even with the craziness of trying to do Christmas morning and get to early church, I wish Christmas landed on a Sunday every year. It was so nice to walk away from the gifts for a while to worship, sing, and remember the birth of our Savior on Christmas day. I loved it!
After church, we came home and finished the rest of the gift opening.
Wyatt was SO excited for his Donkey Kong Country Wii game. He also loved his imaginext airplanes and the camouflage flashlight and wallet from Santa (yes, the only thing he requested from Santa this year was a camouflage wallet...if only the Santa request were all that easy!)
He was semi-excited about his new books (some children's classics) but we have since started reading Robin Hood together and he's decided he likes them now.
The only requests Lydia had this year was an art set and new earrings. She was very happy with her fancy new art kit. The case turns into an easel and it is full of all sorts of fun things. She was also excited about her "How to Draw" books, lots of other books (she's already finished her Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea children's classics), Disney Sing It for the Wii, and some Little House on the Prairie paper dolls.
Amy requested months ago that Santa bring her some toy makeup. Santa likes to get his shopping done early and made sure the toy makeup was bought and put away...and then about 3 weeks before Christmas, Amy decided she only wanted a barbie. SO...Santa brought her a Belle Barbie with a horse, and we gave her a toy make-up set. She loved the barbie, but I think she loves the makeup more! It's a cute little wooden set that is completely PLAY...nothing real about it (because what crazy Santa/parent would buy real makeup for a 3 year old). She had so much fun putting makeup on all of us all afternoon and still likes to use it almost every day.

Dallin loved tearing into all of his presents, but quickly lost interest in his new things and had more fun playing the piano instead...really, why do we buy presents for babies?
It was a wonderful Christmas spent together! We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas too.
