We had a couple camping trips planned for this summer that haven't worked out. After the last failed attempt, the kids were pretty dissapointed so I took advantage of the opportunity, gave them a LONG list of chores, and promised them I would set up the tent if they got all their chores done. I've never seen those kids work so fast! A tent in the backyard is Greg's ideal way of camping. The kids had fun with it and I was able to use it for bribery a few more times throughout the week. So it was a win win for us all.
The good news is that we (the kids and I...remember, Greg doesn't like to camp) are heading out tomorrow for a few days of REAL camping with some of my family. Cross your fingers that this one will work out!
Plans are still on for tomorrow. Sorry about the 2 times that got canceled... I think it was worth the wait though. Now the Williams & Detweiler families are the proud owners of a fun cabin that we can stay in any time we want. A dream come true! I will miss camping @ Bear Gulch. See you tomorrow.
