Fun Friday - July 6

We went on a picnic with some friends this last week for our "fun Friday".  We all had a great time!
See for yourself...

Dallin and Preston

Wyatt...not sure what he was looking at.  He spent most of his time learning how to make a spear from Rachael's dad.  He can't wait to go camping later this month and make a whole bunch of spears.

Dallin...this was only a few minutes in...he was still mostly clean

and a few minutes later...

I don't know what it is about toddlers and dirt, or BOYS and dirt.  Whatever it is, these two made sure they were nice and dirty and had a great time!
side note:  Can you believe Preston is younger than Dal?!  Dallin's no dainty flower, but Preston looks huge compared to him.  Future football player for sure!!!

The kids found a dead baby snake.  Have I mentioned how much I hate snakes?  This is the first year (in the last 9) that I've seen a snake in our yard.  YUCK, YUCK, and YUCK!

Amy loved playing in the creek.  She also made sure to cover her face in dirt.

This water was SO cold!  That's Lydia on the other side (in the pink) and Kim was the amazing mom that hauled kids across.  Dallin and I made it across once and it was too cold for me to do it again!

I didn't get too many pictures of Lydia.  Her and the other big girls spent most of their time having "girl talk".  Out of the four families, we all have girls as our oldest and they are all pretty close in age.  They packed  lawn chairs to their own little picnic spot where the little kids weren't allowed.  It's funny (and kinda sad) to see our girls trying so hard to be "older".

We also celebrated Bridger's birthday while we were up there.  Not a bad way to turn 6 ;)

Dallin enjoyed his cupcake from the back of the suburban.  This was after he fell in the creek so I had to strip him down and give him a wet wipe bath.  He was isolated to the car after that but not too disappointed since he still had his truck.

The best part about this fun Friday activity....my kid were so worn out that they actually slept in the next morning.  That NEVER happens around here.
