"Last evening I walked into see who my husband was chatting with and it was a dairy farmer from Idaho, Greg A....... I’ve gotten several emails from Greg and seen his name on the comments a time or two and it was so fun to actually get to meet him. After we swapped parenting tips, talked religion, dairy farming, homeschooling and the problems with the government, I felt as though I knew all four of his children and his heroic wife personally."
I can see Greg discussing all of these things with strangers, HOWEVER, I had no idea what in the world he could have possibly told this lady about me to inspire her to call me HEROIC. The only think I could figure is that after meeting Greg, she must think I'm heroic for putting up with him! ;) When I asked him what he said about me, he said he thinks that she was just impressed that I was only 30 and had 4 kids because she didn't start having children until her 30's. I guess when you think about it, being a mother (at any age and any number of children) is pretty heroic. It's a nice thing to be called.
I think you're heroic
ReplyDelete- you run a 5k with your kids in the wind
- you are a really good mom
- you make fishing poles out of celery
- you do your dishes in the bathtub so you can remodel your kitchen
- you make your own bookshelves
- you teach your kids
- you keep 4 kids quiet on a church pew by yourself
- after spending all week with your own kids, you teach other kids on Sunday
Yup. I agree. You're heroic and so is the work you do.
